I've had pets all my life but never worked with them professionally until 2011 when I got my first job at a doggie day care downtown NYC. I worked there for about 2 years for the first year I was the helper on the night shift and for the second year I became the manager of the night shift. In which I had 30 plus dogs of different breeds and temperaments under my care with no incidents. After deciding it was time to leave the daycare. A friend who use to be my manager at the daycare needed help with her dog walking routes. I started helping her walking dogs for about 2 years before I started dog walking on my own. At one point I had 15 dogs under my care before clients started moving away and some dogs passed away due to unfortunate disease and older age. I know basic obedience training and have helped a few misunderstood dogs live a better life. I've raised a few dogs from puppy to adult hood. And have helped a few dogs over come being skittish. Unfortunately working on my own things got difficult and I was forced to move out of NYC. But now that I'm back I would love to get to work with dogs again. It's the best and most fun job I've ever had. I have to admit I love dogs more than I like most humans. ^_^
