About the caregiver

Hi I'm Shannon! I have loved and care for animals since I was very young. I owned a mini zoo growing up (dog, cat, guinea pig, fish, hermit crabs), there wasn't an animal I didn't want to take in. I was one of those little girls that wanted to bring home every stray I saw. In my teen, I started out volunteering walking the shelter dogs at the humane society with my dad. I eventually went to school to become a veterinarian, and while I didn't end up becoming a vet, I have worked with animals in a variety of ways. I've interned and worked as a veterinary assistant in multiple vet clinics, worked as a kennel assistant, worked full time walking and boarding dogs, part time dog trainer etc. While I am no longer work with animals full time, I still have just as much love for them. I have a vast variety of knowledge and experience that I can bring to the table. Plus I have a dog and cat of my own! Ask to see pictures, I have a lot :-) I look forward to taking care of your pets!
