Just a short drive from Elmhurst, the Spring Avenue Dog Park in Glen Ellyn is a wonderfully designed and maintained park with plenty of dog lovers who frequent it. The resident community is happy to welcome new dogs and congregate at the park to see some old friends. There is plenty of space to run and explore, with plenty of trees to mark and sniff, and other friendly pups who love to make friends. The park provides water and bags to pick up after Rover. The area is also fenced in so all the dogs will stay safe and happy. All you need to bring is plenty of energy and Fido’s favorite toy!

Oak Brook

The Mayslake Forest Preserve and Dog Park in Oak Brook is a natural beauty that so many people and their pups enjoy every year. Illinois is home to vast forests and beautiful rolling hills, despite them being mostly cornfields. The preserve includes a wonderful dog park that the locals pawsitively adore. The park is on a lake where furry friends are more than welcome to swim! People often fish here too, and say it is good for bass, which Fido would want you to cook for them. However, since it’s a nature preserve, be sure to practice good petiquette and pick up after your pooch!

Schiller Park

The aptly named Bark Park in the village of Schiller Park, Illinois has a lot of space for dogs of all sizes to come and play. The entire area is enclosed to ensure the safety of all the pups that run free inside of it. This is a smaller park, but there is plenty of space for any dog to run, roam, sniff, and explore at their leisure. The dogs that frequent this park are all friendly and love to play with visiting dogs and make some new fur-iends. All are welcome at the Bark Park; just be sure to bring all the necessary supplies, like water and doggie waste bags.

Park Ridge

Paws Park in Park Ridge, Illinois is a popular park located near downtown, just a short drive from all the other small towns in this area. The community has worked hard to keep this park well-maintained so all the pups and their parents have a place to run free and have fun. The park has water and some kiddie pools so the furry friends that visit stay cool in the hot summer months in the Midwest. The park is near Lake Michigan if you decide to take the party to the lake after the visit to the park!

Forest Park

The Miller Meadow Dog Park is a privately-owned park that people are welcome to use if they acquire a membership, which is easy enough to do through their website. It is a cut above the rest, because it does require a membership, and the funds go to maintain the park. This pawesome park is a beautiful open area with professional landscaping. The people that frequent this park are amazing puppy parents and welcome any pups and people who want to join them. Remember to bring water and chairs though!
