But if you want to give your special friend a chance to socialize with other canines, take him to Daisy Dog Park on the Norman Greenway. This fenced facility offers lots of open grass where pooches can romp freely. Make sure you bring some water and waste bags to clean up after your pal. You and your furry friend are welcome to use the trails in the greenway, provided you keep him on a leash when outside the dog park.

Spangler's Farm is a small development in southern Plainfield that's located next to a large community park. Here, you can take a stroll around the neighborhood with your pooch to stretch your legs. When you want to get more exercise and enjoy the outdoors, head to Gregory B. Bott Community Park. This 58.7-acre facility includes athletic fields, a picnic area, open space, and a paved trail. Hike or jog around the fields with your canine companion, then share a snack together. Dogs are permitted to join you as long as they're on a leash and you clean up their messes.

Winding Creek

Private residences and multiplexes line the streets in Winding Creek. This neighborhood is a furrific area to go for a stroll with your pooch. When you want to get out and explore, head across Lily Creek to Clow Stephens Park. There are trails, prairie restoration areas, and an off-leash dog park in this 106.5-acre property. The fenced area has separate sections where large and small dogs can play together. After letting your pooch run with other furry pals for a while, leash up and explore the rest of the facility. Make sure you bring water and waste bags with you.

Around the Grande Park neighborhood, you'll find streets with single-family homes, several lakes, and an expansive park. When you're looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors with your four-footed friend, go to Grande Park. With a network of trails, fishing pond, picnic tables, and open space, you and Fido will have your pick of activities. Hike or jog around the retention pond and fields with your special pal. For some open green space and access to a pawtastic trail, head over to Riverview Park on West Ottawa Street. There's a picnic shelter, open space, and a canoe launch in this 3.2-acre facility. Walk through the grass and along the shore of the Dupage River with your special pal. Bring along your fishing rod and cast into the water while Fido rests at your feet. Dogs are allowed here as long as they're on a leash and you pick up after them.
