DogFest Walk ‘N Roll Illinois is a dog-friendly event held in Pottawatomie Park that includes activities, music and a chance to bid on great prizes! Walk or roll along the beautiful riverfront at your leisure, or enjoy a quick walk/roll around the historic pavilion!

Geneva

Geneva is a family-friendly city that provides easy access to plenty of golf courses, parks and restaurants. Wiggle Waggles 6 Mutts Doggie Food Truck allows your pooch to enjoy the food truck experience. They sell treats, cakes, bark-ery goods, and meals that are all-natural and made with organic ingredients. Paw Nation Luau and Adoption Event is a “paw”ty luau and beach themed event that’s fun for the whole family. There’s also a large adoption event and vendors. Wildrose

Wildrose is located on the opposite side of the Fox River from St. Charles, and provides access to parks, shopping and the Kane County Fairgrounds. Timber Trails Park has several walking trails that can be enjoyed by humans and leashed pups! The Great Western Trail is another walking path that can be used by people and their on-leash doggies. The Chicago Pet Show-St Charles is held here at the Kane County Fairgrounds where you and your pooch can enjoy the entertainment or make new friends! Beef Shack, Evergreen Pub & Grill, Colonial Ice Cream and McNally’s Traditional Irish Pub all accommodate dogs.

Wayne

This quaint yet spacious neighborhood provides locals easy access to plenty of open land in the form of Forest Preserves, State Parks and Country Clubs. The Illinois Prairie Path is one of 1,600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to build a national network of trails from rail lines and corridors, making this "rail-trail" a perfect place to walk pooches in Wayne! Pratt’s Wayne Woods Forest Preserve allows your dog the opportunity to play off-leash in the designated area of this forest preserve, which is fenced on 3 sides! Visiting from out of town? Batavia

The city of Batavia is just a quick, 10-minute drive from St. Charles, and Fido will thank you for making the trip! This city is beautifully situated along the Fox River and has plenty of golf courses and parks nearby. You can access the Illinois Prairie Path from here. If you’re feeling adventurous, lace up your best hiking shoes, pack some water, and see how much of the trail you and Fido can tackle! If, for some reason, you want to hike even more trails, The Fox River Trail has got you covered, offering more than 43 miles of trail! Make sure to bring a camera; you’ll want to capture some of the gorgeous views you’ll enjoy with Fido along the way.
