Prepare for unexpected vet bills

Make sure to stay on the beach; dogs are not able to join you on the boardwalk or playground.

Fortunately for you and your pup, many of them welcome canine customers. On a nice day in Connecticut, you and your pal can enjoy a walk among the shops and even go inside together. Shops include Anthropologie, Brookstone, Eddie Bauer, Gap, J. Jill, Banana Republic, Pottery Barn and Papyrus. At the Promenade Shops, you can make your purchases without worrying about leaving your dog at home or in the car. And it may turn out that your dog is the perfect shopping companion.
You and your pup can take a ferry from New London and enjoy the ride to Fishers Island together. Your dog will be welcomed aboard as long as you have a leash, with no additional fee. Upon arriving at the island, you and your pup can take a short walk to the small village there, or head to South Beach, which is dog-friendly. Although the beach is a bit rocky, dogs are welcome to go off leash. While there, you and your pup can spot birds or shop at the village green. You and your pup can even visit Fishers Island Yacht Club.
