So, you’ve decided to have a nice, relaxing day at the beach with your four legged friend. And your beach of choice just happens to be Playa de la Platjola in Catalonia? How lucky are you! This beach is known as one of the most dog-friendly beaches in Spain and you and your pup will definitely feel more than welcome here. Whether you decide to just chill in the sun, play with a Frisbee, or enjoy the wonderful sea, make sure to protect yourself and your pup from the sun and you’re golden! Carry a bottle of fresh water and a collapsible bowl for your dog so you don’t get dehydrated and find some dog friends to hang out with all day!

Step
1
Reach the beach
You can go on a little exploration adventure here! Sure, you can just drive to the beach and park your car somewhere close, but where’s the fun in that? Why not walk there? Or bike there? By taking some time to explore the area, both you and your doggo will get to have fun doing so, figure out the layout of the neighborhood around the beach, and most importantly, feel fantastic when you finally reach the beach!
Step
2
Frisbee!
Grab a Frisbee and start throwing! Your doggo will try to catch it and bring it back to you, and you can even make the game more interesting by making new friends! Unlike people, dogs do not have the social awkwardness around new people, and they will be more than happy to jump towards the new opportunity for fun. Make some doggy friends who will bring along their humans and make yourself a Frisbee party!
Step
3
Stay safe
Fun in the sun is great, but you know what’s better? Staying hydrated and protected from the harmful UV rays. Make sure you have proper sun protection both for your doggo and you. Experiencing heat stroke is not an option either, so bring a small tent to use as a sunshade or just hide under the natural umbrella – a tree! Drink plenty of water and get a collapsible bowl for your pup so they can rehydrate and get ready for a new game.

It is safe to say that waterparks are considered to be some of the most fun places in the world, and people young and old, all over the world will agree with this. However, most of them do not allow dogs. But, fear not, there is actually a waterpark in Spain that is specifically designed to make your doggo’s day the most fun day ever! Bring your pup to the famous Perros al Agua waterpark, located in Barcelona. Not only will you get to enjoy your day in the sun, you will also throw the most amazing party for your furry friend, one that will not be easily forgotten!

Step
1
Follow the rules
First off, make sure that you are not breaking any of the park’s rules. Understand that you are responsible for your doggo and all the damage they may do. You also need to hold a “license and certification of the animal’s registration in the municipal register of potentially dangerous dogs”. Bring your vet vaccination card, and do not let your big dog get in the small doggo pool. Bring a leash if you are not certain your pup will be on their best behavior, and do not bring your female dog if she is in heat.
Step
2
Go to the Great Lake
This waterpark has a very large pool called The Great Lake, where doggos big and small can hang out, splash around, and play in the water. Start on the shallow end and work your way up to the deep waters so your pal can have time to adjust. Use the canoes and surfboards provided, and if your pup is feeling brave, have them jump off a jumping ramp!
Step
3
Munch!
After your exhausting time in the water, why not take a minute to relax and get some delicious food? Your pup and you can enjoy some amazing dishes in the restaurant on the waterpark premises before you replenish your energy and go back to the “Mini” lake to digest your food.
