The Smooth Foxy Rat Terrier is a hybrid breed of dog where one half of the dog is bred from an American Rat Terrier. This breed got its name because, well, they are great at chasing rats! Chasing, catching and "disposing" of vermin was this small dog's job for centuries and one reason many started to adopt them - to ensure their homes were rat free! Hopefully, your house does not have any mice or rats but you still need a way to satisfy your dog's natural need to chase rodents. Don't go out and buy a live mouse though! Invest in a small remote controlled toy instead.
