Santa Monica Blvd. cuts right through the middle of Mid-City West and is the central hub of activity for the area. There are a number of smaller parks just outside the boundaries of the neighborhood. Douglas Park is right on the border to the northwest, Memorial Park is two blocks away, and Christine Emerson Reed Park is just on the western side. Of course, just a few blocks off of the west end of this neighborhood is the ocean and its many trails and areas to walk.
