The west side is generally considered to cover 101 square miles of varied terrain between La Cienega Boulevard and the Pacific Ocean, south of the Santa Monica Mountains, and north of the 105 Freeway. In the south, the area is mostly flat, but towards the mountains in the north, terrain can become quite hilly. Depending on where you are located, walking with your dog can be a leisurely stroll or a grueling climb! Plan your route ahead of time to avoid any overexertion.
