Scripps Ranch is a suburban community located just over a 30-minute commute northeast of San Diego's downtown area. Residents of the community can reach a commercial area off of Scripps Ranch Boulevard which is centrally located in the developed northern section of the neighborhood.

Pet owners will find the Scripps Ranch Veterinary Hospital and two dog-friendly restaurants, Zpizza, and Watami Sushi, that allow your pup to join their people in outdoor seating areas. Grocery stores, eateries, and other shops and services can also be accessed here by pedestrians.

Share a bite to eat on a patio with your pup, stroll through the residential area, or take an adventurous hike in the natural spaces throughout the year as San Diego enjoys beautiful, warm weather most of the year. Winters are colder, but temperatures are still mild. There are some overcast and rainy days in the spring, but they do not have to dampen your outings if you are prepared with a waterproof jacket!

Scripps Ranch is an upscale, affluent community with beautiful homes and well-landscaped properties with large trees and gardens. This community is known for its eucalyptus trees which are concentrated on Pomerado Road. The community is mostly natural terrain to the south with the developed area on the northern section. The southern section consists of hills, canyons, and rough terrain with steep elevation changes. The natural terrain extends into the developed residential section with many greenways being adjacent to homes and are easily accessible on foot for people and pets.

Miramar Lake is situated on the north border of the community and is also associated with natural greenways. Residential streets feature elevation changes and hills can be difficult for people and pups to navigate, especially if you or your dog has mobility issues. There are sidewalks located along residential streets, so you and your furry friend have a safe, separate pedestrian way and do not have to share the road with local vehicles.
