At Wag!, we’ll be spotlighting top Pet Caregivers around the nation who provide pet care on the Wag! Platform. This is a chance for you to meet & get to know the Pet Caregivers on the Wag! app!
Today, we’re meeting one of Wag!’s most wooftastic Pet Caregivers, Suzanne, to talk about her experience as a dog walker. Suzanne hails from Atlanta, Georgia and has been walking dogs on Wag! since February 25, 2020. She has completed over 300+ walks with reviews earning her a 4.98 star rating. People have said she is an “amazing caregiver,” who “goes above and beyond” and who doesn’t forget to take “adorable pictures” of their pups to their owners, while on walks. She has “cared and loved for” dogs for the likes of Murphy, Higgins, Rio, Lulu, and Summer and is a beloved dog walker in Atlanta!
Are you native to the area? If not, where are you from?
Suzanne: I’m actually originally from NJ, however I’ve lived in Atlanta for 25+ years so I’d guess I’d say I’m native now.
What do you do in your free time?
Suzanne: I walk dogs
Do you have any dogs of your own or have you had in the past?
Suzanne: We have two loving dog babies. Our senior rescue pit mix, Shelby and a young energetic Lab, Eleanor.
What kind of dog(s) do you like?
Suzanne: There are none that I don’t
Great answer, Suzanne!
What is your favorite thing about walking with Wag!?
Suzanne: The flexible schedule.
What is your favorite neighborhood to walk in?
Suzanne: Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Avalon, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody areas
If you could give any advice to a Pet Parent, what would it be?
Suzanne: Talk to your Wag walker about what your expectations are for walks, drop-ins, etc. Details always help us give your fur baby the best time ever.
What do you enjoy most about Walks?
Suzanne: Getting to know the dogs in a very peaceful, positive way. Every dog is different. Being a great walker depends on getting to know the dog whether they are puppies or seniors, whether they like to stroll or fast-paced, any habits they might have.
What was your first service like?
Suzanne: I got started walking dogs to help out our medical community during the early days of COVID-19. I would do walks in early mornings and weekends when our first responders were hard at work. It gave me a sense of helping others when we were all faced with a pandemic. Since then I’ve made many new friends both human and canine.
Thanks, Suzanne, for sharing your story with us! It’s great to meet Pet Caregivers like Suzanne on our platform, who are excited about walking pups in Atlanta.
If you’re in the area, book a walk or a drop-in session with Suzanne! Not a resident of Georgia? Find a trusted, vetted dog walker near you to take your pup for a well-deserved walk.
Until next time, folks! 🐾
