The Foundry Branch Park is situated on the southeast side of Foxhall Village and is contiguous with the Glover-Archbold Park which extends up the east side of the neighborhood. These greenways have natural wooded areas and miles of trails to explore. The Glover-Archbold Park even has a dedicated off-leash dog park further to the north. Alternatively, the Newark Street Dog Park has separate areas for small and large dogs, drinking fountains, and waste disposal supplies.
Along the Potomac River are three prominent walking paths. The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Trail and the Capital Crescent Trail run along the main river and there is a separate paved path along Canal Road. These paths are ideal walking locations for local canines.
The Hardy Playground and Reservoir Playground are also situated in the area and have a recreation center, tennis courts, and open areas with sports fields. These areas are a good place to visit on a walk with your furry friend.
