Annual Weiner Takes all Event

The Bella Vista Animal Shelter has a great event every year featuring that breed that makes you think of hotdogs. That's right, it's a wiener event! And at this event, there can be only one wiener to take home the big prize, so get your little engines running.

For those who want to simply spectate with their canine pals, there will be plenty of room to sit and watch those magnificent little superstars run. Be sure to bring a lawn chair and a water bowl so both you and your fur family are comfortable and come watch the fastest little hotdogs in the country!

This event also includes a very regal-beagle style King and Queen of the wieners crowning, so be sure to enter your dynamic duo without delay!

Bella Vista Animal Shelter offers a variety of events all year long, with the proceeds going to benefit the many lovely little furbabies they take care of. Although Springdale is not rife with events for pets, this shelter makes sure to have something for everyone and really does push to provide a great experience for visitors and their four-legged family members.

Dog Days of Summer

This is another event hosted periodically by Bella Vista that really helps local event goers to enjoy a bit of fun in the sun with their purrfect pals. Bring your best doggone friend to the pool and give them a day of swimming with friends while you hang out with the other two-leggers on the sidelines.

The shelter is careful to remove all chemicals from the water for these events, so there is no need to worry about FiFi's recent hair styling. Just remember to bring some towels for your pal, as they can get to shivering after a great swim!

Yappy Hour Puppy Costume Party

Yes, you read that right! The Bentonville Bark Park hosts a party that is pawsitively purrfect for all of our canine companions. Dress your furry buddy up in their spookiest costume and head over to the bark park for some great fun. Socialize your zombie with the local fairies, let your werewolf howl at the moon, or just get down there and enjoy a great day!

While you're there, remember to enjoy some Scooby Snacks, as there will be plenty for both the costumed canines and their chaperons. Also, enjoy the live music and good luck with your costume in the contest!

Nearby Fayetteville features the outstanding IAMS Dog Park, which has separate areas for smaller dogs and larger dogs, ensuring that no one feels bullied due to size.  The park is accessible by way of trail and provides our furever friends a great place to socialize, exercise, and truly enjoy a dog's life.
