Hi! My name is Becky. I grew up in Alameda, California with a Rough Collie mix, Sheba and Chow Chow mix, Gaby. The bonds I've had with dogs are lasting, and they always bring a smile to my face. I am a patient, kind person that gets along well with all types of dogs from big to small to the timid to the drooly to the spastic. In my day to day life, I am an artist, that specializes in mostly metalsmithing and a carpentry student, and I love to hike, jog, bike, and swim. I hope to be able to help dogs keep an active lifestyle to keep them fit and happy.

About Dog Training in San Carlos, CA
Training Fun Fact #1:
While most of the nature preserves in the vicinity of San Carlos prohibit dogs, La Honda Creek Preserve welcomes hound-dog hikers. Some restrictions apply — you’ll need to obtain a permit, and your pup is only allowed on select trails in the Upper La Honda Creek area. Staying in designated pet-friendly areas is especially important since cattle graze this open land. To keep your canine and the cows safe, train your dog not to chase cows before you go. If your pup starts to bark or attempts to chase, ignore them and continue walking. You don’t want to reward their bad behavior with your attention!
Training Fun Fact #2:
If you’ve lived in San Carlos for awhile, you’ll know that French Bulldogs are the most-loved breed in the Bay Area. Think your cuddly canine has what it takes to compete for the blue ribbon? Training your French Bulldog for show could take up to 8 months, but the effort is well worth it! As well as socialization and obedience, you’ll need to train your Frenchie to stand without moving and stay still for grooming.
Training Fun Fact #3:
San Carlos has something most cities don’t: an off-leash swimming facility for doggos! You’d be barking mad not to treat your dog to a day here every now and then. Is your woofer a little wary of the water? When training your dog to swim in a pool, start small with a kiddie pool in the backyard. (Or stick to the shallow end if you have an in-ground pool.) Keep treats handy to coax your canine into the water. Wade in alongside them if possible to make them feel more comfortable. Before you know it, your pal will be splashing and socializing at the local indoor doggy pool in no time!

Just about ready to send your badly behaved barker off to boarding school? You’ll have to contact a San Carlos dog training facility directly for pricing information.

This unlocks the full list of dog trainers in your area. Scroll through the available trainers and find the perfect match for your dog’s breed and training needs.
