Wag! Walkers know Country Club Condo
The Country Club Condo is an older condominium located on Country Club Circle next to the Daytona Beach Golf Club on the mainland side of Daytona. This is an affordable condo complex with budget-friendly Condo Association dues that include the basics.
Located just off S Ridgewood Avenue, there are plenty of restaurants for you to try out serving everything from All-American fare to Mediterranean delicacies and plenty of seafood. If you are looking for fenced-in dog parks and pet supply stores, you might have to drive a little, but in this part of Daytona, nothing is too far away.
This includes warm weather with the coldest month of the year typically being January when daytime temperatures drop down to the low 50s and upper 40s. By February, the temperatures are already starting to warm just in time for Spring Break, Bike Week, and, of course, the NASCAR season kick-off with the Daytona 500.
What is the terrain like in Country Club Condo?
The terrain here is relatively flat and quite uninteresting which may not seem like it would be beneficial for walking. But as long as you don't mind putting in a little hard work and creativity, you can find ways to make your strolls with your pup a bit more challenging.
You could stick to walking on the sidewalks and going around different blocks each time. This will at least give your pup somewhere different to explore on a daily basis.
But when summer comes along and the pavement is too hot to utilize, you can go hiking in the early morning before things have heated up or you can cross Ridgewood and go down Osceola Blvd. to S Beach Street where there is a large park to walk and play in. Alternatively, you can take the trail over the canal to the small island where there is plenty of room to walk. You have plenty of options!
How many greenways are there in Country Club Condo?
The nearest green spaces are the park on S Beach Street which runs for approximately four blocks. The park offers plenty of grass and shade trees for the two of you to enjoy. Plus, as an added bonus, there is another vast area of open grass and trees running from the Halifax River to S Beach along Marker Channel and behind the Manatee Bay Apartments. You and your pup can have a great time playing here with lots of open space.
If you still want more space to play, on the other side of the apartment complex, there is a large island sitting on the riverside with a single footpath leading to it. Be careful, however, as the boardwalk out to the island is not always in the best of repair. However, once you arrive on the island, you and your pup will have plenty of room to run around and play in the great outdoors.
