between the beach on the east side and the Halifax River on the west side. The homes
here are modest single-family residences with the exception
of the Budget Inn Express Beachside.

action, but far enough away to be able to enjoy some peace and quiet. A1A, the road running along the beach, is home to an amazing array of restaurants serving everything

State Park covers approximately 2,000 acres at the headwaters of the Tomoka River.

to be found in this area to walk through, and Nocoroco. This is a 1,500-year-old Timucuan Indian village inhabited by some
of the first Native Americans to live in the area.

birds make their home here, including bald eagles, peregrine falcons, and the
Bachman's Sparrow. You never know what you might see while you are walking
along, including black bears, whitetail deer, and more!
