Top dog walkers in Water Front Park
Wag! Walkers know Water Front Park
Water Front Park is a great name for a community that sits between US-1 and the Indian River North. The neighborhood is buried deep in the woods and the homes here are large and luxurious, with plenty of yard space for kids and a family dog to play. All of the homes are on both sides of William Street, but they are spaced out with several sitting on the riverbank.
Here in Edgewater, finding essential amenities such as grocery stores and pet supply stores can be challenging, but not impossible. In less than ten minutes, there is a Publix and a Winn-Dixie supermarket where you can find a large selection of groceries for your entire family, along with a large selection of top brand dog foods. Seven minutes north is Newman Veterinary Centers, a full-service vet ready to take great care of your dog and provide you with premium dog foods, medicines, and supplies.
What is the terrain like in Water Front Park?
Water Front Park not only sits on the Indian River North, but the homes are surrounded by woods, giving you the feeling of being out in the country, while actually being less than ten minutes from the heart of the city. There are only two roads in the neighborhood, William Street that leads into the community and Myrtle Street that runs south to the luxury homes along the riverbank. Neither of these roads has sidewalks, which means you and Fido will have to walk on the streets with the traffic.
The good news is that traffic is pretty minimal, barring the few vehicles coming and going during the usual rush hours in the morning and evening. The American Legion has a facility on the north corner of William Street and US-1, along with Islamorada Boat Works on the south corner. The best thing you can do for your pup is to take your walks early in the day to avoid any serious congestion.
How many greenways are there in Water Front Park?
The entire community of Water Front Park is buried in amongst dense forests to the north and south. These woods offer multiple trails for you and Fido to explore and plenty of shade if you have to go out in the middle of the day for your walks. The woods stretch from US-1 to the river and from Oak Street to Coleman Street.
The woods continue further west on the other side of the highway. If you are adventurous enough and you are both up for the challenge, you could theoretically hike all the way to I-95. Be warned, however, that this is a hike of several miles in both directions. Be sure you can handle the walk back from your furthest point out. You won't find many people, but you are more than likely to meet some of the critters who call these woods home along the way. If you steer clear of them, they will stay away from you.
