Hickory Park is a small neighborhood of single-family homes along both sides of Newton Road. The houses here are modest in size and well-kept. This is an established community with plenty of large shade trees helping to keep the sun at bay. Each side of Newton Road has a sidewalk and grass berm for you and your dog to walk on and you are close enough to the All Children's Park and Seemore Memorial Dog Park to walk to them!
If you turn right on Spruce Creek Road and go one block north, you will see the Neighbors General Store. This store has been a fixture in the community for a very long time and offers café style food and plenty of necessities for those times when you don't want to go all the way up to Dunlawton Avenue where the bulk of the shopping in town can be found. If you want something more to eat, you can find plenty of restaurants to choose from along the same road.
