Wag! Walkers know Park At Countryside
Park at Countryside is an apartment community on Dunlawton
Avenue just to the west of South Nova Road. The complex sits on a shady lot with trees acting as a buffer from the nearby street. Around the apartment buildings, there is plenty of grass for you and
your dog to walk on and a lake in the middle to walk around.
Living this close to the intersection of Dunlawton and Nova
means being close to three strip malls and a Walmart Supercenter to the west. There
are plenty of places to eat, both chain and privately owned, bars, and banks
all within five minutes of your home.
For fun places to take your dog for walks, there are parks, nature preserves, and the beach, all
within a 20-minute drive of your apartment. There isn't much in the way
of green space within walking distance, leaving you with little choice but to
drive.
What is the terrain like in Park At Countryside?
With both Dunlawton Avenue and South Nova Road for neighbors, you should
expect to live with a lot of traffic and noise during the day. In the surrounding
neighborhoods, rush hours tend to be hectic as everyone heads to work in the morning
and home at the end of the day. The parking lots of the complex tend to be busy
for a short period of time during the rush
hours.
While there are sidewalks
running down both sides of Dunlawton, your dog needs to be used to heavy
traffic noise before you go far on these paths. You also need to keep your dog
on a short leash to help you maintain better control.
A much better choice would be to use the sidewalks running through
the residential communities to the south of the apartment complex. Almost all
of them have sidewalks for the two of you
to use and offer a quiet place to take your daily walks.
How many greenways are there in Park At Countryside?
Beyond the lawns and lake within the complex, green spaces
for you and your dog to enjoy walking and playing on are few and far between. To the east on Spruce Creek Road is Buschman Park and the
Margaret Buschman Parcel. These areas combine to offer you a large lake, plenty
of grass, nature trails to walk on, and woods to enjoy.
The beach is only a ten-minute drive as
long as traffic isn't ridiculous. Here, the two of can slog along in the soft sand
until your legs can't take it anymore. Then you get to take a break and go for
a nice refreshing dip in the water before returning to your car on wet
sand. It's a
fabulous way for you and your dog to spend a day out in the fresh air and sunshine. Be sure to go early as the beach fills up with cars and
people early in the day!
