Set out on the west side of I-95 next to a vast area of woods and at the east end of the Spruce Creek Airport, Summer Trees South offers residents a rural feel. The majority of the homes here are nestled in amongst massive shade trees and are more substantial. The houses are packed close together with modest yards on streets that all have sidewalks. Spruce Creek runs to the south of the area and I-95 to the east.
While you might be on the west side of the interstate, this doesn't mean that you are miles from the nearest amenities. The road running between the neighborhood and I-95 is South Williamson Boulevard, and, if you follow it north for less than a mile, it will take you to Taylor Road which becomes Dunlawton Avenue on the east side of the interstate. There is a fifteen-foot-tall observation tower you can climb and you can hike the six-mile round trip to New Smyrna Beach and back.
