There's no shortage of quiet neighborhood sidewalks to explore as Kenwood is mostly suburban. Walk any border of Kenwood Park and you'll soak in the gorgeous views of historic buildings while the pooch enjoys pattering alongside you. You can also trek a little outside of Kenwood to neighboring Hyde Park and adventure through the Hyde Park-Kenwood Historic District.
Other than the occasional crack in the sidewalk and minor inclines, you and your pup are sure to enjoy your walks through Kenwood stress-free. In busier areas of the region, you'll find pedestrian crosswalks and wide sidewalks to accommodate bus stops, bike parking, and the cafe-style seating of restaurants.
While central Kenwood may not have numerous parks available, there are several in nearby neighborhoods, one of which is Armstrong Park. Like Kenwood Park, Armstrong features several sports fields and courts, a track, and a playground.
With Kenwood's eastern border being Lake Michigan, it's likely you and your faithful pet may want to check out some water views. Promontory Point in Burnham Park is a popular destination for those looking to watch some waves. This area also has Grant Park and Jackson Bark, a park specifically designed for dogs, with equipment for them to learn agility sports!
