Boulevard Park

This park is actually right on the water, with an amazing rocky beach. It is a great place for families and dog owners; you can enjoy the sunset here with your canine friend or your loved one, or both! You and your dog will appreciate the different kinds of people who visit boulevard park; from families to couples, locals to tourists and joggers to dog-walkers.

There are plenty of benches and picnic tables as well as a nice play area. You can also grab a coffee from 'The Woods' here. The park also offers a spectacular view and makes for a beautiful sunset walk. Or, if you’re an early riser, you and your doggo can enjoy the sunrise as well. The park offers some of the best views in Bellingham; simultaneously looking out towards the water and the greenery of the park.

People have reported this beach/park as having a lot less dog poop than other dog parks. Of course, you should carry poop bags and do your part in maintaining a clean park. It’s a busy park and has a reputation for being popular among college students. In any case, you can enjoy the serene views while your dog feels they have enough room to run around. There’s a dedicated parking lot, but sometimes it can be difficult to find a spot. The place has gender-neutral restrooms.

Some dog owners describe it as their favorite place for dog-walking in all of Bellingham on a sunny day. But no matter what the season, the park maintains a lively crowd that includes dog, kids, and frisbees. This makes it a good choice for active dog owners.

You can also walk all the way to Fairhaven. There are even some hidden side trails that’ll lead you to steps. Boulevard Park seems to offer a little bit of everything, from a beach to a park, bridge to coffee. So it’s not just you taking your dog out for a walk or night out. You will have a nice time as well!
