Callahan's Beach
The beach is relatively rocky, although there is a mixture of sand as well. There are lots of amenities at this beach, and they include a large picnic area to eat lunch with your family away from the sand with large trees for the cool shade cover. You will also find restrooms, shower stations for rinsing off, fishing, food and snack stands, a playground for the kids, and a boat launch to take your boat out for a day on the water. You are also able to swim, surf, and windsurf at the beach as well.
Perhaps the best feature of this beach is the massive cliff that overlooks the beach from above. This cliff offers the most spectacular views of the beach and the ocean. You can walk some of the Green Belt Trail in this location as well, and the trail has access to the cliff overlook and the beach.
Dogs are permitted on the beach before the beach opens for the day and after it closes in the evening. Dogs can also go to the beach at any time of the day before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. When you bring your dog to the beach, please remember to bring your poop bags and pick up after they finish their business. Trashcans are located on sight, but poop bags are not.
