You and your pup are welcome to run free, splash in the water, and enjoy the glorious sunrises and sunsets at this beautiful location - there's just one catch. You and your pup must either be a member of the Carlyon Beach Home Owners Association or be with someone who is a member of the Carlyon Beach Home Owners Association (AKA, you likely have to live in the area in order to access this beach).Â
Pups are required to abide by a few, specific rules if they want to enjoy the beach area. For example, dogs must be on a leash at all times - they don't specify a leash length, but we suggest either checking with the Carlyon Beach HOA directly or using a leash that reaches a maximum of about 8 feet long (to keep it safe). Owners are asked to keep dogs out of the community park area, as well.Â
If you and your pooch really want to run free and wild (AKA sans leash), there's an area on the beach that's adjacent to the bridge that you gain access to via the boat ramp gate. However, you have to purchase keys from the HOA in order to access this area. Lastly, of course, you need to make sure you're always cleaning up after your doggo when they make a mess - if not, you're likely to be kicked off the beach or fined!
