Dash Point County Park

Seven hundred feet of sandy, saltwater beach is among the highlights of Dash Point County Park. This 2.77-acre park offers the best beach walking experience for people - including dog owners. You get to enjoy views of Puget Sound in addition to picnic facilities, beach walking, and a fishing pier.

From dog owners to mountain bikers to hikers, the place impresses a lot of people. You will love the trail system! There’s also a playground, sports facilities, and boating. There’s no dog leash requirement, but you are advised to keep an eye on your dog so they don’t disturb others. The restrooms were upgraded and the fountain was renovated in 2011. Showers are also available that you may use for a fee.

At low tide, you can see just how huge the beach can be. Seeing a shark is not exactly uncommon here. This goes to show the adventure Dash Point County Park offers! You can also just watch the waves and seabirds while relaxing, if you’re not feeling particularly active.

Make sure to pack enough food with you if you plan to stay for some time. The closest place to get food is fairly far. The nearest general store is also a bit pricey and often understocked. So, even if you’re just taking your dog for a couple of hours, take any treats you want to give them along with you. Since it’s in a residential area, you’re advised to carpool if possible and park responsibly.
