Fleets Cove Beach

Fleets Cove Beach is located in Centerport, New York. Fleets Cove is a relatively small beach that is great if you are looking for something small and close to home that does not get as crowded as many of the other, larger beaches in the area. This beach is the best if you are looking for a beach that offers privacy and fewer crowds to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing day with your family and the pups. 

Fleets Cove features a grassy area that is great for taking lunch and sitting at the picnic tables away from the sandy beach. They also have grills in this location so you can bring burgers and hotdogs to cook up for an excellent summertime lunch. The picnic area has large trees to cover the benches and tables so you can stay pleasant and comfortable while having your food. Fido will appreciate the shade as well! Always make sure you have cool water and a bowl on hand to give your dog when it is hot outside. 

You will also find heaps of natural beauty at this beach as well. You can swim, surf the great waves in the ocean, and you can kayak when the waves are not too rough! Fishing is permitted as well. Perhaps you could use a grill in the picnic area if you can catch a large enough fish. 

Dogs are allowed on this beach, but they must be leashed at all times, even when they go into the water. It does not appear they have poop bags at this beach, so you will need to bring your poop bags with you. Trashcans are provided on-site around the grassy picnic area. Always make sure you pick up your dog's business after they go, so another beachgoer does not step in it, and another dog doesn't try to eat it...we all know this can happen!
