Description

Tucked away in the sleepy hamlet of Olcott, Krull Park is a huge recreational space in an enviable location on the shores of Lake Ontario. Ever since the days of the late 19th century, this beautiful park has been a popular place for families to relax and enjoy a little leisure time. And in the 21st century, your dog is welcome to enjoy it right by your side.

Before going any further, however, we should point out that dogs are required to stay on a leash at all times in Krull Park. As always, you'll also need to take special care to clean up after your dog.

With that out of the way, we can take a closer look at what the park has to offer. But with so much to see and do in this 325-acre grassy space, it's hard to know exactly where to start.

In the section of the park that lies north of Main Street, you'll find Olcott Beach, which offers a lovely strip of sand and is a popular spot with swimmers. Walkways and picnic tables are also in abundance here, so it's a grrr-eat place for you and your dog to take a relaxing stroll or just sit down and enjoy the serenity.

Make your way to the south of Olcott Beach and you'll find a host of other features, including playgrounds and picnic shelters, baseball diamonds and sports fields, exercise stations, and even a fun splash park for little ones. Of course, there are also myriad locations where you and your pet can either sit down for a rest in the shade or find a patch on the grass where you can soak up some sun.

Krull Park also hosts several festivals throughout the year, including dog shows, and is even the venue for a series of popular Sunday-afternoon concerts during the summer months.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
