Lake Fenwick Park

Lake Fenwick Park is located in Kent, Washington. Here you will find a large forested park filled with thick tree cover, a beautiful lake, beach, and tons of walking and hiking trails perfect for both dogs and humans alike. Although popular, you will not find large groups of people swimming in the lake, so taking your dog for a dip in this lake is ideal. 

At the park, you will also find a boat launch, places to fish, a floating walkway over the lake, picnic tables for enjoying a yummy lunch or snack, and restrooms. There are no shower facilities at the beach or in the park. You must keep your dog on a leash, even when they want to swim and play in the lake. Keeping them on a leash is important for their safety and other boaters and swimmers safety as well since there are no lifeguards at the beach. 

There are tons of shady areas to cool off since the park is heavily wooded. Hiking trails abound and all of them are dog-friendly as long as you keep your dog on a leash when walking them. There are some large, grassy areas as well that are great for setting up a picnic or letting your dog play some fetch with their favorite ball. We love that this park has poop bags stations available, which makes it even easier to clean up after your dog when they do their business. You can find poop bag stations at the entrances of the trails throughout the park and trash cans are scattered around also. 

Overall, Lake Fenwick Park is a great location to walk your dog and let them swim in the lake or play around the small beach area. With limited crowds and plenty of shady areas, your dog is sure to love their time splashing in the water at Fenwick.
