You can also capture some pawsome shots along the nature trail, and even record the site that once was home to a historic inn that is now only ruins.

The sandy shores of Mexico Point State Park are the ideal spot for working on a suntan, building a sand castle, or even catching up on the latest novel. If swimming was what you came for, you won't be disappointed! The refreshing Lake Ontario waters invite you to don your best barkini and grab your fave pooch and head on in to show off your very best doggy paddling! Fido may join you on the land or in the sea, but you must be sure to keep him on a lead as the New York paw-lice take enforcing their leash laws very seriously. 

If you find the sun's rays just a little too hot, grab your beach chair and make a beeline for the edges of the beach where a treeline can be found. Here, you and your fave pooch can recline in leisure and get some respite from the heat of the day. This area is also a furrific spot to enjoy a picnic lunch. Be sure to bring one with you from home as there are no concession stands available at this lovely beach. You'll want to be certain to bring some bottled water and cleanup bags along too. Both bathrooms and change rooms are available for pawblic use at this beloved seaside property.
