That's right, Park Point on Lake Superior in Minnesota allows you and your pooch the opportunity to hang out and enjoy the surf and sand together. Located in Duluth, Minnesota, this beach is easily accessible to folks, is free to visit, and is open to the public and their pooches. This beach is technically considered a sandbar on Lake Superior, but with plenty of sandy space to explore, it's more like a beach than anything else.
You and your dog are welcome on this beach at any time. Seasonality will not affect doggo-friendly hours, and as long as you and your pooch are abiding by the rules, you should be good to visit whenever you want!
There are a few rules and regulations, of course. For starters, this isn't a free-roam dog park, so, you and your pooch will have to abide by the leash laws. They don't specify how long the leash should be, but we suggest that you keep your maximum leash length to about eight feet just to stay safe.
Additionally, you have to clean up after your doggo. Come prepared with doggo cleanup bags and be ready to clean up every pup mess! It's also always a good idea to bring water along with you so that your pooch isn't tempted to drink the lake water (as sometimes, this water can make them sick!)
