Pere Marquette Park

With its popular beach on the shores of Lake Michigan, Pere Marquette Park is a great place to enjoy relaxation, fun, and outdoor recreation. It is a place that has become popular with families and offers a range of facilities and amenities for visitors to enjoy. It is also within easy reach of a variety of attractions, so you could effectively spend many hours around here and still never be short of things to see and do. 

One great thing about this park is that the south end has its very own ‘dog beach’, so if you want to bring your pooch along for some fun and frolics, there will be plenty for them to enjoy. The area has become very popular amongst dog owners and provides an excellent means of enjoying a day out while enabling your pet to get exercise and fresh air. 

There is a parking lot here, so if you plan to drive you should have no problem finding a space to park your vehicle. In addition, there is a play area, which means that you can also bring your little ones along to have some fun outdoors. With picnicking facilities, ball game facilities, grills, and even a snack bar, you will find everything you need at Pere Marquette Park for a relaxing morning or afternoon out. 

The park also provides access to the Lakeshore Trail path, so you can enjoy a stroll along here with your dog and take in the sights. There is also a beach house and restrooms here as well as easy access for those with disabilities. If you want to spend a little time away from the beach, you can simply stroll down to some of the attractions that are a stone’s throw from the park including nautical attractions and a number of eateries.
