So long as you're there between October 1st and April 1st, you and your pooch can enjoy the expansive stretch of white, sand beaches. There are public bathrooms, snack bars, and even shower stations for you and your wet fur-baby to get clean! With ample parking, this beach is relatively easy to get to, and will be sure to remain on your list of places to visit for years to come. Just make sure to bring a little cash - parking fees are used to keep the beach clean and safe for your pup!
This beach is known locally as a family beach, and the views of the clear, blue ocean are beautiful. If you decide to go in the summer (during which, unfortunately, you can't bring your furry BFF), be at ease knowing that there are lifeguards on duty from sunrise to sunset.
But during the offseason when you're there with your pup, make sure to keep an eye on them - while you and your dog are definitely allowed to frolic in the ocean to your heart's content, there is a little bit of an undertow, so don't brave the waves if either you or your pup aren't a good swimmer!
Regardless of whether or not you go in the water, there's plenty for you and your pooch to do and see at Ponquogue Beach, even if it's just walking the shoreline and enjoying the view. This one is definitely a must-see during the off-season, so pack up that car and head down to Southampton, where you and your pup will have a day (or maybe many!) that you'll never forget!
