Tiana Beach, in the highly desirable Hampton Bays, is a petite beach with a luxurious overview. White, glistening waves greet the visitor with sparkling, sun-drenched sand inviting you to rest awhile and enjoy the tranquil ambiance
This family orientated beach opens its shores to your Labradoodle, Griffin, or German shepherd from April through to October. The off-season is a wonderful time where dogs get to feel the sand under their paws while dancing in and out of the waves.
There are a few rules in place to ensure Tiana beach will continue to allow dogs including keeping your pooch on-leash, as there are piping plovers nesting in the dunes. These birds are endangered with signs indicating a distance of 50 feet to be respected at all times. Doggy decorum is expected while providing your own litter bags to keep the beach clean. This assures a future where dogs will continue to access this magical space.
Tiana beach is a classy, summer hang out with restrooms, picnic tables, changing areas and showers. In the sun-blessed season, you can hire umbrellas and beach chairs plus there are shaded areas overlooking the beach area. The beach is generally flat with a slight slope leading up the dune area where amenities are located.
Dogs love the open feeling of hiking along the beach and it’s a quieter time in the off-season as pooches get to sniff the scented air and have fun with their owners. If the sun is blasting, you might want to bring shade protection for your pup and please supply clean water as walking around the beach is thirsty work.
This Hamptons piece of beach paradise is a well-kept secret on Lake Michigan, a mighty expanse of fresh water covering 495km of sandy shores. Dogs can lap up the nature vibes of Tania beach and have fun meeting folk and other woofers from out of town
