Beachside State Recreation Site

Beachside State Recreation Site is located on the scenic Oregon Coast and is right next to a beach that spans around 16 acres. This site is very popular with hikers and campers, and it allows dogs that are on a leash (that is 6 feet or less) on certain parts on the beach, campgrounds, and trails.

The campground is surrounded by beautiful trees and, as mentioned, is located next to a long, sandy beach. The beach is great for fishing, flying kites, picnicking, and even whale watching! For campers, flushing toilets and hot showers are available as well as yurts for rent. There is one yurt that is pet-friendly, but you need to reserve it ahead of time. So, be sure to call the park to inquire. 

According to the website, there are also 32 electrical sites that include water and there are 42 tent sites that have water close by, for your convenience. There is also firewood available to be purchased. The campground is only open between March 15th and November 1st, and the website mentions that these dates are valid if weather permits. Speaking of weather, many reviews of the beach state that the weather is very unpredictable, so, come prepared for anything!

As for accommodations for your pooch, it is unknown if there are poop bags available, but it’s always important to clean up after your pup. Be sure to bring poop bags, food, water, bowls, a leash, bedding, and maybe even a few toys for your dog. It’s important to keep them well fed and hydrated while on your trip.
