Plan an outdoor getaway with your family or friends at Boulder Group Camp in the San Bernardino National Forest. This southern California facility can house 40 people. There are picnic tables, pit toilets, a group fire ring, and parking for eight vehicles here. You'll have to bring water for your drinking and cleaning needs because there's no running water. The area around this site offers recreational activities for both water and land.
This campsite offers plenty of privacy but also has easy access to Big Bear Lake. When you come here, you can relax by the campfire or head up to the water. There's boating, fishing, swimming, and shopping available at this well-loved destination. Take a break from grilling and eat at one of the restaurants while you're in the village. You'll also find hiking trails in the area. Climb along mountain paths through the coniferous forest on the Castle Rock or Skyline Trail. Enjoy the peace and beauty of the region. As you travel, you might catch sight of squirrels, chipmunks, or coyotes. Wildflowers like fireweed, lupine, and wild rose also grow here. At night, gather around the fire ring and share stories of your adventures.
You can bring Spot when you come here. Keep pets away from swimming areas and on a leash at all times to protect resident wildlife. Always have poop bags with you so that you can immediately remove any droppings.
Come to Boulder Group Camp when you want to have a reunion or other gathering. Up here, you'll be able to enjoy a range of activities as you explore the San Bernardino National Forest. Make reservations at least one day ahead of time to use this tent-only facility. There are black bears in the area. Take appropriate precautions and store any food or other items in your car or a bear locker.
