Buckhorn Lake Resort

If you and your canine are touring the country in your trusty RV, you'd be barking mad not to add Buckhorn Lake Resort to your must-visit list! The resort is located in Kerrville, Texas, which is about two hours west of Austin. This pupular campground is the perfect place for you and Fido to visit as long as you're camping out in your own RV. Dogs are always welcome in RVs, but unfortunately, the cabins aren't pet-friendly. Nightly rates for RV sites start at $46, and there are reduced rates for weekly or monthly campers. With all of the amenities offered, you won't think twice about staying a while!

If you're looking to stay active during your stay, make use of the resort's on-site tennis court, basketball court, or exercise center. Are you the type of person who'd rather relax? Buckhorn has you covered! Enjoy soaking up some sun in the swimming pool or taking it easy on the golf course. There's also an on-site theater. 

You aren't the only one that gets to enjoy these amenities, though. Buckhorn Lake Resort wants your dog to be happy, too, so they have a bark park for Fido to get some off-leash exercise and make new fur-iends! Since your dog has to be on their leash for most of their stay, we're pawsitive they'll appreciate the chance to run around freely. Buckhorn staff members do ask that you bring along supplies to clean up after your pet. There are currently no breed restrictions in place, but you won't want to bring your pup along if they're aggressive or don't get along with other dogs.
