A quiet and clean campground in east Texas, Bushman's RV Park is a tranquil and pet-friendly park where dog owners and their canine companions should feel right at home.
With 97 RV sites and six tent sites, Bushman's is an immaculately maintained campground with plenty of green space. There's a fully stocked fishing lake if you feel like wetting a line, but it also offers a relaxing backdrop for anyone looking to unwind after a long day behind the wheel.
RV sites offer full hookups (water, sewer, and 30/50-amp electricity), and sites feature cement pads, tables, and their own night lamps. Concrete roads are provided throughout the park and most sites are easy to access, but those nearest the highway do experience some traffic noise. Bathing facilities are just as well-maintained as the rest of the campground, with the individual shower/restroom suites offering good privacy.
WiFi is provided and there's an on-site general store where you can stock up on the essentials (including wines from the nearby Kiepersol winery). The winery, which also features a distillery and restaurant, is a three-mile drive away.
Other features at Bushman's RV Park include a small pool and hot tub open for all seasons, coin-operated laundry facilities, a sand volleyball area, a playground, and a short walking path. There are also four shaded areas with barbecue and communal campfire facilities, which are perfect if you feel like grilling some meat and enjoying some alfresco dining.
Pets are welcome in Bushman's RV Park but must be kept leashed and under control at all times. There are several fenced dog runs where your pooch can get some fresh air, with access to drinking water provided, but they're better suited to smaller dogs. As always, you'll need to remember to clean up after your pet whenever necessary — you could be fined up to $100 for skipping out on doggie duty! Waste bags are sold at the park's office if you forgot to bring your own.
All in all, there's a lot to like about Bushman's RV Park. If you're looking for a pet-friendly campground with a pleasant country setting, this east Texas venue has plenty of "pawsitives" for you and your pooch.
