Four Mile Creek State Park

Boasting a large, pet-friendly campground just minutes north of Niagara Falls, Four Mile Creek State Park is well located for anyone planning a vacation to this beautiful part of New York.

The park sits on the shores of Lake Ontario and features more than 250 sites for tents and RVs. There are 10 50-amp sites available along with 129 30-amp sites, as well as 136 non-electric sites. 10 electric sites are located right on the waterfront and feature spectacular views that make them highly sought-after.

Dogs are permitted in the campground, provided they're kept leashed at all times and that you don't exceed the two-pet limit per campsite. Sites are generally large and well spaced, but keep in mind that this is a big and popular campground, so it's not exactly the ideal destination if you're looking to get away from it all.

Camping fees range from $18 to $34 per night, with an extra $5 nightly charge for campers from out of state. Please note that, while there are also six yurts available, pets are not permitted in these structures.

The main attraction for most visitors to Four Mile Creek State Park is the easy access to Niagara Falls. It's just a 15-minute drive away, so you're in the perfect location for a day trip to check out the falls and all the attractions that come with them. There's plenty more to see in this part of the world as well, such as the quaint charm of historic Lewiston and the pretty swimming beach at Wilson Tuscarora State Park.

You can also explore the natural scenery within the park itself. Hiking trails wind their way through densely wooded bluffs overlooking the lake, offering a particularly scenic sight in fall when the leaves change color. Playgrounds, laundry facilities, and a camp store are also provided within the campground for added convenience.
