Located across the street from the Travel Plaza, this RV Park has extra amenities that most campgrounds do not. The Travel Plaza offers a restaurant called Bonnie's Kitchen; a full-service shop with truck scales, big-named truck tires, a lube pit, and a parts store; a souvenir and gift shop; and a large movie-theater with free popcorn. As a traveler, you can pull your RV into one of the 69 paved sites with full hookups (water, electric, and sewer), or you can also swing through and park your car overnight in one of the 110 parking spots located across the street at the Travel Plaza. Those staying at the campground have access to great comforts, such as a game room, laundry facility, TV lounge area, and private showers and bathrooms.Â
Your pooch can accompany you during your stay. There isn't much natural shade; therefore, please keep in mind that your pup can get very hot during the summer months. Please bring both shade and water to keep your doggo comfortable. Also, pack some plastic bags to pick up after your dog and keep the area clean for others. The biggest rule is that your canine companion must be leashed at all times and you, as an owner, must be mindful of others.Â
The campground itself is no-frills. It is best described as a flat field where RV pads were placed. It is a great stopping place to rest your head and then carry on. The conveniences of having a truck stop just a hop, skip, and jump away as well as its vicinity to shops and restaurants popular to Garden City is what visitors rave about.
