The hosts at Jamaica Beach RV Resort have created a beachfront Shangri-la with a 5-star presentation and facilities. The setting is vibrant with a private island ambiance where guests can forget about the outside world and unwind for the summer.

The resort is RV exclusive so all sites feature level, concrete pads with full-hookups to electricity (30/50 amp) water and sewer. Cable TV and the Internet are easily accessed throughout the park. Convenient pull-through sites are reasonably spacious with a manicured grass strip between the neighbors. A picnic table and fire ring feature on all sites.

Internal roads are paved and easy to navigate with a scattering of palm trees throughout the resort. For a standard weekday site, the rate is $46.35. Kids will be wowed with a splash pad, bounce house and the winding Lazy River, a triumph in design and a super-popular hangout on a hot summer’s day. There is a tropical themed pool where guests will feel they are beach-side in the Bahamas and a classic family, swimming pool for laps and splashing about. Relax in a hot tub or get active with horseshoes, shuffleboard, pickle ball, mini-golf, and larger-than-life Jenga.

The owners have crafted an inspired paradise that attracts snow birders to stay and soak up the first-rate amenities. These include three pristine bathhouses and laundry facilities. You may find it hard to leave as the hosts are personable and offer breakfast two days of the week, and they sometimes order pizza for the campers!

Pets are allowed at the resort with rules stating pooches must stay on a leash. There are breed restrictions, so check when you make a booking if your furry pal is eligible. Most campgrounds insist pet owners pick up their four-legged friend's waste, so bring plenty of litter bags.

Jamaica Beach RV Resort is located in Galveston, which appears to have a relaxed attitude to dogs on their beaches all year round. The classic on-leash rule applies and of course, scooping up their doggy waste. This is great news for folks with pooches staying at the resort, but with little shade on the beach and campground, it's imperative woofers are protected from the sun.
