Description

Johnson Creek Resort & RV Park is located in sunny Ingram, Texas. It is a fairly popular park and has grown recently to include four cabins, seventy-two RV sites, and four apartments. Great news! They allow your pooch to come with you as long as they are not aggressive, do not bark a lot, they stay leashed, and you clean up after them.

This campground was a pecan orchard many years ago, and quite a few of the trees are still there. It’s also nestled within rolling hills and is frequented by white tail deer. There is a stream that runs next to the property. The staff obviously has a great sense of humor as they have continued to call a building on their property “the nut house” which is a shoutout to the days of pecan farming. They also still sell some of their pecans if you’d like to buy some!

The property also has horse pastures, a chapel, a meetinghouse, and more. It is open year round and has loads of amenities such as restrooms, showers, a pool, wifi, cable, a gym, pet area, hookups for your RV, and much more. You can even board horses on site if needed!

When it comes to rules for your pup, there are a few things to keep in mind. Each RV is limited to three pets. You must not tie the pets outside, and they also can’t be excessive barkers. The site also doesn’t allow what they call "vicious" breeds of dogs such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and Dobermans. You also can’t let dogs run loose in the pastures, and they are not allowed in any buildings except the park office. You also may not walk your dog through the orchard when deer are there. Most importantly, pick up after your pooch and keep an eye on them. Make sure they aren’t getting into any trouble, and you’ll be all set for a great time! For a detailed list of rules for your pup, visit the camp website.
