The setting for Shamrock Pines Campground is nothing short of spectacular, with a luxuriant pine forest and the Allegheny Mountains in view. This is your chance to return to nature, and the reunion begins with you either pitching a tent close to the shimmering lake or parking the RV onto a level, gravel pad with modern hook-ups to electricity (30/50 amp), water, and sewer. Staying tuned to the Internet is possible at the camp office.
Most sites are out in the open with the lake in sight and easy, back-in access. You’ll revel in the space between campers and be wowed by the romanticism of this wild, untamed paradise. A picnic table and fire ring let campers honor the tradition of barbequing. All this and so much more for an all-inclusive daily rate of between $42 and $50.
With close to 400 acres, this phenomenal campground gives the soul a chance to recharge and enjoy the clean mountain air. A gorgeous, pioneer-style cabin is a vacationer's dream, complete with a loft and porch for morning coffee. The cabin sleeps four and is partially furnished with a kitchen sink, wash basin, and fridge.
The restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities are kept clean, and for summer cheer, the camp has a swimming pool, a playground for the kids, plus a horseshoe pit and wide open, grassy spaces for a game of soccer or to walk your pooch.
Pets are allowed, with a limit of two canines a site. The hosts require woofers to be on a leash and their guardians bring litter bags and pick up their waste. City pups will be inspired by nature walks and fields for daily play.
A decent-sized lake lets you bring home the catch of the day, and the campground offers paddle boat rentals for a cool way to get out on the water. Check out the camp calendar for fun-filled happenings like garage sales, pancake breakfasts, and live performers at the recreation room.
Shamrock Pines Campground is a doorway to a celebration of outdoor pursuits, from skiing in Ellicottville to hiking in Allegheny State Park with your leashed pup. The quaint village of Franklinville is an architectural delight and a 5-mile trek from the camp. Peak times at Shamrock Pines Campground are summer and holidays.
