Sherwin Creek Campground is the perfect location for your next camping trip. It rests just outside of Mammoth Lakes, California in the Inyo National Forest. There are 85 sites at the campground, and there are also a few amenities that will make your stay more comfortable, like bear boxes, tap water, picnic tables, and fire rings. The nightly fee for a site is $20.36, but the fee increases by $2 on holiday weekends. The campground is surrounded by a beautiful forest with a variety of tree species, predominately aspen and pine. You’ll also notice some nice wildflowers in the area around the campground which contribute to its magical setting. And if you’re looking for ways to pass the time, you will have plenty of options to choose from. The area’s streams and lakes provide an excellent opportunity for fishing, or you can head to one of the nearby trails for a hike.

When you are planning your trip to the campground, remember that you are in bear country, so you should take the appropriate precautions. Also, note that this is a high-elevation campground, so be cautious if you are arriving from a significantly lower elevation.
