Description

Still Meadow RV Park honors road-trippers with spacious, gravel sites long enough to handle the bigger rigs, all in a rural setting a few miles off the highway. A picnic table and space for a barbeque grill are provided, along with pull-through and back-in choices. Access to the internet and top channels on cable TV are part of the service, as are easy connections to electricity (30/50 amp), water, and sewer.

There are three concrete sites that are available on request, and the amicable hosts are always willing to help. The park's open field is flanked by established trees offering some shade and unique views of a local cemetery. You’ll be joining a community of long-termers and workers who get to enjoy this peaceful atmosphere every day. The route to this delightful park is via a fairly narrow road, leaving behind the traffic noise on the interstate. The daily rate is $30 to $45 for tent and RV campers, respectively.

This petite RV park features 30 sites, well-maintained restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities, plus a fur-friendly attitude to man’s best friend! The standard camp rule is for pooches to stay on a leash no longer than six feet and be a kindly canine that greets new pups and guests with a wagging tail. The open meadow where the camp is situated extends an invite for lively, snifftastic walks. It’s always courteous to bring litter bags to help ensure campgrounds continue to leave the welcome mat out for our four-legged pals. If you have any questions about the pet rules of the park, contact the staff by phone or through their website.

A 5-minute drive sees you in Mount Vernon, a city of historic plantation homes and outdoor adventure. The Old Fire Station Museum has something for football fans, birders, and folks interested in American history, while nature lovers will be drawn to the Dupree Park Nature Center, where a scenic out-and-back trail through the forest is an energetic hike you can enjoy with your dog on-leash.

If you’re on the road to Fort Worth or visiting family in Dallas, you can take a breather at Still Meadow RV Park. They are open all year, and bookings are preferable.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
