Description

The setting for Watts RV Park is a pastoral paradise where folks come to holiday and end up staying on. Maybe it’s the spacious concrete sites and the promise of a carport and storage unit that inspires road trippers to choose this popular camp, or the full hook-ups to electricity (30/50 amp), water, and sewer. Access to cable TV and the internet is sure to please. Sites are mainly level with bushy trees for shade and a choice of pull-through or back-in entry.

The personable hosts are an invitation to spend time at this diverse park, plus the three glistening lakes for fishing and a sparkling pool to ward off the summer heat. Southern charm and friendliness are what you’ll find at Watts RV Park, around a mile from the main highway with an ambiance of relaxation and peace. The daily rate of $30 to $38 a day is a steal for all the amenities you get. These include a picnic table and space for a fire grill along with supremely clean restrooms, showers, and a laundry facility. Some folks might prefer to rent a fully furnished cabin with a working kitchen, bathroom, washer, dryer, and the option of one or two bedrooms.

The menu of park fun includes horseshoes, volleyball, and a games room for rainy days. A barbecue area lets campers make lifelong friends, while a camp store offers groceries and accessories for the RV. Nature lovers get the whole package when they check into Watts RV Park, with access to the Piney Woods, a forest nirvana home to squirrels and many species of birds, all within minutes of your RV.

Snow birders love this park as the welcome sign includes their pets. An on-leash rule applies, with pooch parents asked to pick up their fur-baby's waste. Hiking through the woods here is something your pup may never forget, thanks to tons of tree marking opportunities and a smorgasbord of scents to explore.

Just under 10 minutes gets you to the city of Gilmer, famous for its yearly festival known as the Yamboree, showcasing livestock, classic cars, quilt-making, and a sweet potato past. If you’re looking to check into Watts RV Park in October, summer, or holidays, you might want to book in advance.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
