Covering 318 acres in Jefferson County, New York, Westcott Beach State Park is a waterfront park offering easy access to the refreshing waters of Lake Ontario. It's a popular family camping spot with plenty of recreational activities on offer, but the best part of all is that it's also dog-friendly!
Tucked away among wooded hills and open, grassy meadows, Westcott Beach State Park sits at the lake's eastern end. The 154-site family campground offers tent and trailer camping, with campsite fees ranging from $18 to $28 per night. The campsites are located on a bluff overlooking the lake, and the views out over the water will have you reaching for your camera more than once.
Dogs are more than welcome to join you in the campground, but please note that a two-pet maximum applies to all sites that allow pets. You'll also need to provide proof of your dog's current rabies vaccination, and keep them leashed and under your control at all times. As always, it's up to you to be a responsible owner and properly disposeĀ of your pet's waste.
