Description

If you are looking for a year-round camping area in Wisconsin, look no further than Yellowstone Lake State Park. Located in Blanchardville, Wisconsin, Yellowstone Lake State Park is a great place for campers to enjoy hunting, fishing, boating, swimming, birdwatching, and even more activities. With campsites for both tent campers and RV campers, there are a lot of options at the park.

Some campers love to bring a boat to take out on the lake. Motorized boats are very popular as are canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. Tubing and water skiing are common summer activities. Swimming is one way many guests and campers like to cool off while staying at Yellowstone Lake State Park. If you don't have a boat, there is a boat rental stand on the east end of the lake. Boat rentals are available during the summer.

The campground boasts a shower station, pit toilets, a drinking water stations, and a dump station. There are areas that are accessible as well. If you are bringing children on your camping trip, there is a playground that is sure to keep the kids entertained.

Many people love taking their pets with them when they camp. Yellowstone Lake State Park understands this desire, so pets are allowed in the campgrounds. It is unclear whether or not there are leash rules. Keeping your pet in your own camp area and making sure that they aren't bothering other campers is a great way to prevent being asked to leave the campgrounds.

There are a few different trails in the camping area, and these trails are a great place for hiking and biking. Pets can also be walked along the trails which is an easy way to get your pet a little exercise during your stay. Dogs are also welcome in the lake in certain spots, so be on the lookout for those, too.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
