Introduction

Atlanta pet parents know that having a furry friend makes life extra pawsome. Canine buddies are pawfect for cuddling and great exercise partners. And their exuberant greetings are greatly appreciated at the end of a long day. But owning a pupster isn’t all fun and games. There’s a business side of it too. There are annual vet visits, obedience training, and an occasional chewed up shoe to deal with. Your pup’s safety is also a top concern. One of the best ways to keep your pal protected is by registering them with the city. Keep reading to find out how to do this in Atlanta.

Reasons to Register Your Dog

If you are on the fence about registering your pup, consider a few things. First off, it’s the law. Fulton County requires all pet parents to register their fur babies. Help your pup be a law abiding canine citizen by making sure they are pawperly registered. And keep in mind, registration costs far less than a citation for having an unregistered pet. Another furrific reason to register your pal is that it keeps them safe. If your pooch happens to get loose, a license tag is key to getting them back into your arms. When somebody finds them, they have the necessary infurmation to contact you. Plus, a tag tells the world your pooch is up to date on their vaccinations, and most people are more likely to assist healthy animals. Lastly, by registering your doggo, you are helping less furtunate pups by supporting local shelters and animal services.
