AABY Dog Park

Does your pup need new doggie friends? Let them rub elbows with other canines at the Kingwood Dog Park! Formerly known as the AABY Dog Park, this 2-acre site provides a safe, off-leash playground for the four-legged citizens of Kingwood and surrounding communities in northeast Houston. 

You and Fido will find the Kingwood Dog Park off Russell Palmer Road, right next to a local kennel. What started as a space for rescued dogs is now a watering hole for canines of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. Your pooch doesn't have to be a rescue to come here, but they do need to be spayed or neutered. There are two separate enclosures, and the smaller one is not only used by little dogs, but also by pups who are new to off-leash dog areas, regardless of their size. If your furry pal needs to brush up on their social skills, bring them to the smaller section to get them comfortable with playing and running with other dogs first before letting them run loose in the larger section. 

Doggos will be pleased to find a walking path, wooden ramps, toys, plastic wading pools, lots of shade, and plenty of room to romp unfettered at this dog park. Seating for the pooch parents is also available, but don't get lax—it's impawtant to always keep an eye on your charge! Be sure to clean up after your pup if they go to the bathroom. It's unknown if waste bags are provided, so remember to bring your own, as well as drinking water for your thirsty pooch.

Note that while the dog park is free to use, registration is required. Registration forms can be downloaded from the park's website, and once you've completed the form and shown proof of current vaccinations, you'll receive a park tag that is valid for one year.
